Industry Linked Biotechnology Research Scheme (IBRS)
The Scheme facilitates Academia-Industry interaction by undertaking projects in collaboration with an industrial partner which should result in commercializing the product or process or service. The selection is through a peer-review mechanism and evaluation by an expert committee.
Applications are invited twice every year, the proposal may be submitted in the prescribed format when notified.
"Maximum grant for a project is Rs. 25 lakhs for three years (excluding overhead cost @ 10% of the project cost) with a minimum of 10% share from the industry."
Scientists and Technologists of R&D Centres / Academic Institutions / Organizations actively involved in biotechnological research with emphasis on areas relating to marine, agriculture, health and environment.
