Introduction A scheme to provide financial assistance for conducting Two-Day Workshop on “Research Methodology, Writing Practices, Language and Soft Skills” for young scientists. Introduction KSCSTE has instituted this scheme, Engineering Support & Co-ordinated Research for Specially Talented children (ESCORT), to provide engineering and technological interventions to nurture and provide necessary support for the differentially abled children in Kerala. Students with impairment are likely to have more problems and difficulties in sensory, cognitive and psychiatric areas and also suffering in physical strength and other health-related challenges. The scheme support projects to carryout research in the area of Technological Aspects in disability studies and provide necessary engineering oriented technical interventions to develop implements to aid and assist physically or mentally challenged children. Based on the recommendations of the Programme Advisory Committee (PAC), research grant will be provided to the selected projects for a maximum duration of 2 years. Procedure for Application Project Proposals will be invited through notification in the website of KSCSTE, once in a year. The Proposals can be submitted through online only on notification and during the active time. Proposals submitted in any other mode will not be considered and summarily rejected. Introduction Technology Festival (TECHFEST), is an annual technical programme for encouraging and promoting the innovations from Engineering Students in the State. The Programme is a mega technological event which showcases the technological innovations/inventions developed by the Engineering Students in the State. The Programme provides an opportunity for the talented engineering students to exhibit/demonstrate their innovative products. Industry sponsored tech-fun events are also arranged as part of TECHFEST. Procedure for Application Applications for participation in TECHFEST are invited once in a year usually in August – October. Students can submit the applications in the prescribed format through the Head of the Institution. Selection of projects under the ‘Contest’ category and ‘Exhibition’ category of TECHFEST will be made by the Screening Committee. During the programme, innovators are given technical inputs on various issues including marketing methods/techniques, IPR issues, micro financing, etc. They are also given opportunity to discuss their problems and challenged with the experts. Introduction This programme targets the youth in the State for taking up challenges in specialized areas which are relevant to the State. Any youth below 30 years of age and a permanent resident of Kerala can apply. Challenge areas will be identified and posted before the youth. Youth can submit proposals on these areas only through the portal. Generally up to 10 best proposals will be provided maximum ₹5 lakhs grant for developing the prototype/working model. After proto development, the best Innovation among them will be awarded with ₹ 50 lakhs, along with technical support/guidance in developing the technology based on the proposal.
