A seminar titled “Eugene Garfield and the Science of Scientific Communication” was held on 22nd October 2025 at Anna Mani Hall, KSCSTE, to celebrate a monumental legacy—the 100th birth anniversary of Eugene Garfield, the visionary father of citation indexing and a global influencer in bibliometrics and scientific communication.

The event was inaugurated by Dr. E. Shaji, Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell, University of Kerala and the session was chaired by the Dr. K P Vijaya Kumar, Former Head of the Department of Library and Information Science, University of Kerala.
