Expert Consultation to Develop a State-Level Plan of Action on Climate Change Impacts on Kerala’s Ocean and Coastal Ecosystems

A consultative meeting of experts to develop a State-level Plan of Action to address the impacts of climate change on Kerala’s ocean and coastal ecosystems was held on 10 March 2026 at 3:00 PM at the CM’s Conference Hall, Secretariat, Thiruvananthapuram. The meeting, coordinated by the Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE), brought together experts to deliberate on issues such as sea-level rise, coastal erosion, ocean warming, and their impacts on marine biodiversity and coastal livelihoods. The consultation is expected to guide science-based mitigation and adaptation strategies for the sustainable management of Kerala’s coastal and marine resources.
