Her Tech Venture: From Idea to Enterprise Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme on Oct 30-31, 2026 The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) jointly with the AICTE Regional Office, Thiruvananthapuram and Confederation of Indian Industries (CII) invites women students pursuing B.Tech and Polytechnic programmes to participate in a two-day Women Entrepreneurship Development Programme (WEDP) designed to help them explore entrepreneurship and take their first steps towards building a technology-based venture.  What awaits you? KSCSTE Welcomes Dr. K K Ramachandran as Executive Vice President

The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) extends a warm welcome to Dr. K. K. Ramachandran on assuming charge as the Executive Vice President, KSCSTE. A distinguished marine geologist with over 37 years of scientific research and science administration experience, Dr. Ramachandran has made significant contributions to earth and environmental sciences. His exemplary leadership as Scientist and Group Head at the National Centre for Earth Science Studies (NCESS) and his dedicated service as Member Secretary of KSCSTE and the Kerala State Coastal Zone Management Committee reflect his unwavering commitment to advancing science, sustainable development, and public policy. We wish Dr. Ramachandran every success in his new role as Executive Vice President. We look forward to his visionary leadership in strengthening Kerala’s scientific ecosystem, fostering innovation, and driving impactful research for the benefit of society. 🐍 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐒𝐧𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 | 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐒𝐧𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐊𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐚 The Kerala Biotechnology Commission (KBC), KSCSTE, in association with the EIACP PC Hub Kerala, successfully observed World Snake Day 2026 at KSCSTE Headquarters, Sasthra Bhavan, Thiruvananthapuram. The programme, themed ” 𝐙𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐒𝐧𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐬 𝐊𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐚: 𝐀 𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧-𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐧 𝐎𝐧𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐚 𝐒𝐧𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡-𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞,” brought together students, researchers, and experts to promote awareness on snake conservation, snakebite prevention, and the One Health approach. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Saji Gopinath, Executive Vice President, KSCSTE, and presided over by Dr. P. Harinarayanan, Member Secretary, KSCSTE. Technical sessions by Smt. Deepthi Mohan, Beat Forest Officer, Rapid Response Team, Palode, and Dr. R. Dileep Kumar, Snakebite Management Researcher and CEO, Indriyam Biologics Pvt. Ltd., highlighted the importance of snake conservation, human–snake coexistence, and biotechnology-driven approaches to snakebite prevention. A key highlight was the release of the “Illustrated Guide to Common Snakes of Kerala,” prepared by Dr. R. Dileep Kumar under the Snakebite Management Initiative of KSCSTE, EIACP PC Hub Kerala, and the Kerala Biotechnology Commission. The programme concluded with an engaging interactive session moderated by Er. Arjun Prasad, Senior Scientist, KSCSTE, followed by the Vote of Thanks by Dr. Sherin B. M., Senior Scientist, KSCSTE.
