The Kerala State Council for Science, Technology and Environment (KSCSTE) aims to promote scientific research, innovation, science popularisation and improve the quality of science education in the state. To accomplish these, the Council is implementing various programmes. The Council has been continuously improving its programmes through regular internal reviews. Now KSCSTE has decided to conduct an independent assessment of various programmes of the Council Headquarters. The study was entrusted to the Centre for Socio-economic and Environmental Studies (CSES), Kochi. The study is primarily based on the feedback of the stakeholders. In this connection, we request the feedback, opinions and suggestions from different sections of the Kerala population. An exceptional academic and communicator, Prof. Damodaran’s contributions went beyond research—he was a bridge between complex science and the wider community. His tireless efforts to promote clean energy and environmental consciousness will inspire future generations. The KSCSTE expresses its deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. Prof. Damodaran’s legacy will live on through the lasting impact of his work and the many lives he touched.
