The programme to strengthen the biotechnology education and skill development in frontier areas of Biotechnology
- Industrial Training for Post Graduate students: To bridge the gap between industry requirement and academic programme, industrial training will be facilitated to PG students by encouraging students to do projects in the industry. Selected students will be given stipend @ Rs. 5000/- pm and the Institutional fees (Rs. 25000/- - 50000/-) will be given by the KBC. KBC shall provide the list of Industries wherein the training/project work can be executed.
- Industry Associateship programme for faculty /mid-career scientists to work in industry for 6-8 weeks every year for 3 years: In addition to, to and fro travel and per diem allowance of Rs. 500/- day or a lump-sum amount of Rs. 25,000/-, a contingency grant of Rs. 10,000/-shall be provided. A letter from the Industry willing to accommodate the applicant may be submitted.
- 2-4 weeks training for mid-career scientists/ faculty for up gradation of skills by hands on training in any reputed research laboratories in the Country. The selected scientist/faculty In addition to, to and fro travel and a maintenance allowance of Rs. 15,000/- per week for actual weeks availed, a contingency grant of Rs. 10,000/- shall be provided. A letter from the Institution willing to accommodate the applicant may be submitted along with the proposal
