National Technology Day - NTD

National Technology Day is celebrated across India on 11th May to commemorate the major technological breakthrough by successfully carrying out series of nuclear tests at Pokhran and to honour technological innovations and their successful commercialization which takes the fruits of research to reach to people at large. Technology Day is celebrated as a symbol of quest for scientific inquiry, technological creativity and the translation of that quest in the integration of Science, Society and Industry. Financial support is provided to agencies in the State for celebrating Technology Day with a view to generate awareness among the students, academia, general public, etc. through lectures, seminars, Quiz programmes, exhibitions, elocution etc.

Applications are invited through advertisement every year during the month of March every year.

Applicants must hold a regular position in a recognised academic institution viz., Vocational Higher Secondary Schools, Industrial Training Institutions (ITI), Polytechnic Colleges, Engineering Colleges, University Departments of Engineering Sciences or a recognised R&D institution/professional body in S&T sector in Kerala.
